Editor: Barbara Morgan

Barbara Morgan is a UKCP registered Gestalt Psychotherapist and Family Constellations Practitioner. She was part of the original group who studied with Hunter Beaumont following Bert Hellinger’s first visit to the UK. She began running her own workshops in 1997 and continues to offer residential and non-residential workshops, teaching seminars, taster days and individual consultations.

She was involved with the journal from the beginning when it was known as The Systemic Solutions Bulletin and in 2001 took on the post of Deputy Editor. In 2004 she became Editor, began to publish the journal twice a year and changed its name to The Knowing Field.

  Don Opatrny, LMFT

Don Opatrny is a partner at The Lovins Group Family Business Consulting Center in New Haven Connecticut, USA. He is a licensed marriage and family therapist who specializes in consulting to business-owning families. Don is a member of the Family Firm Institute, a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, and a past member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (CTAMFT).  Don has developed an expertise in working with the hidden dynamics behind many family business difficulties. His unique blending of systemic modalities and practical business experience often brings relief, restores hope, and helps clients find new options in difficult business situations, even when other consulting methods have failed.

Don serves the Constellations community as distributor of The Knowing Field Journal in the United States.
He is a husband, father, amateur wine maker, sculptor, and stone wall builder.

Dr Jennifer Altman, MA, PhD, ITEC, Dip Therapeutic Healing:

Jennifer is a neuroscientist and has been involved in brain research for over 40 years, a science writer, for the past 15 years a body-energy healing practitioner with a flourishing practice in Integrative Healing, and an artist. Her healing work is based on embodiment, empowerment and integration, and is strongly informed by the principles and practice of Systemic Constellation Work. As well as using the constellation method with individual clients, she is developing ways of working with constellations in small groups. She is a member of the Association for Therapeutic Healers, the Scientist Medical Network and the Doctor-Healer Network.

Vivian Broughton, Gestalt Psychotherapist, Constellations Facilitator
Founder and Director of Constellations Work Trainings Ltd

Vivian runs a psychotherapeutic, supervision and consultation practice in the South West UK. She has been interested in the work of Bert Hellinger since 1994 having attended many workshops, seminars and conferences on Family & Systemic Constellations with Bert Hellinger, Dr Albrecht Mahr, and many other practitioners, and continues to explore and be taught by her teachers, colleagues, students, clients and workshop participants. She is a registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Institute (GPTI), and The European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP).

Ty Francis

Ty is an organisational consultant, facilitator and coach with specialisms in innovation, change management, marketing and corporate communications. He helps people initiate change in a wide range of public and commercial sector organisations and enjoys working on projects that aim to break new ground - bringing people together from different disciplines to develop new ideas and creative solutions. He teaches a successful public programme for change agents on Organisational Gestalt at Metanoia, a UK Centre of Excellence, and has pioneered the practice of Organisational Constellations in the UK for over ten years as a practitioner, writer, conference organiser and trainer.

Francesca Mason Boring 


Francesca Mason Boring, bi-cultural author, international facilitator and trainer, is an enrolled member of the Shoshone Nation and a graduate of Washington State University. Francesca has facilitated Family & Human Systems Constellation as Ceremony. She has attended numerous workshops and trainings run by leading people in the field both in the USA and Germany. As well as editing and promoting the Knowing Field journal she is a regular writer for the journal and a presenter and workshop leader at International Conferences and trainings.

Jane Peterson

In 1999, Jane founded the Human Systems Institute. She has been training organisational consultants and leaders, and medical and mental health experts in a new method of facilitating change in human systems in the USA, Canada, and China since 2001. Jane has presented and taught at conferences and training intensives in Europe, Asia, Canada, Mexico and the USA. In October, 2005, she sponsored and organised the first US Conference in this method in Portland, Oregon USA. The Institute’s offerings include executive coaching, organisational consulting and training services.

Colette Green MA MIAHIP

Colette is an Irish woman, an integrative psychotherapist specialising in psychodynamic and systemic work and a registered Family Systems Practitioner UK. In private practice she also teaches on the H Dip in Psychodynamic Studies and MA in Integrative Psychotherapy at University College Cork. She is a Trainer with the Irish group for Systemic Solutions.

Interests include: her garden, sea swimming and writing. Founder of MA (Mothers Alone) Wellington New Zealand; a programme focussing on birth and the transition into parenthood. Colette is co-founder of OCHRE, working with groups and organisations and runs constellation workshops in Ireland, England and India.

Sebastian Green
Sebastian is a Social Anthropologist who is a Professor of Management and Head of the Department of Management and Marketing at University College Cork, Ireland. He is a co-founder of Ochre which offers ways of working with individuals and organisations to enhance relationships, development and change.

Sebastian applies the insights of Bert Hellinger and Clifford Geertz in strategic management and culture change workshops. He specialises in using organisation constellation in Family Businesses and in Multi-national subsidiaries. Before coming to UCC Sebastian worked in Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand and at the London Business School. He studied Economics at Trinity College Dublin, and at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and Social Anthropology at Sussex University, UK.

Chris Walsh
Dr Chris Walsh MBBS, DPM, FAChAM is a psychiatrist working in private practice in Melbourne, Australia. He has been working in psychiatry since 1985. In that time, he has worked in hospitals, jails, community settings, and drug and alcohol institutions. He has given presentations at Australian national and international professional conferences on both mindfulness and family constellations. Chris is also the founder and moderator of Constellation Talk a very active email chat group with almost 800 subscribers worldwide.

He also coordinated the development of the website for the International Systemic Constellations Association (ISCA) www.isca-network.org Chris has organically integrated mindfulness meditation into his psychiatric practice after assisting at the Tibetan refugee hospital in Dharamsala in Northern India soon after he first graduated as a medical doctor in 1883. This trip left a lasting impression on him. Chris's daily Mindfulness Meditation practice began eighteen months later, as he began working in psychiatry. He is now running a training in Mindfulness Based Systemic Constellations in Australia.
